What is GOthat?
GOthat provides charities with their own branded online shopping mall where a percentage of every purchase is donated to their cause. This gives charities a very easy way for supporters to contribute with their everyday online shopping.
How does it work?
GOthat is an affiliate partner of the best online stores in Australia and around the world. When a customer enters an online store from one of GOthat’s Charity Malls the store recognises they have been introduced by GOthat. Any number of items the customer decides to purchase from that store GOthat is attributed a commission from which we donate 50% to the customers selected charity.
Should I Subscribe to Individual Store email?
No need to subscribe to loads of sites because GOthat sends you one regular email highlighting what’s on sale, what’s new and what’s hot from the best stores around the world. So you can declutter your inbox and let GOthat do all the work!
Can I go direct to the Store at a later date and still earn donation dollars for my charity?
No, if you respond directly to a stores email or go direct to their site without starting at the GOthat storefront your charity will not receive a donation. So it is always important to start your shopping excursion at your Charities GOthat Mall. (However: most stores allow for at least 30 day cookie so you can go directly back within 30 days and still earn a donation for your charity however we recommend it is always better to start at GOthat to ensure your donation is attributed.
Am I purchasing from GOthat or the online store?
When you click “Enter Store” on GOthat you will be taken to the actual online store where you can browse and purchase as you would normally on their site. All customer enquiries need to be directed to them.
Delivery and other terms and conditions?
GOthat helps you find the best online stores. When you purchase you are transacting on the actual stores site. Any terms and conditions including purchase and delivery is bound by their individual terms and offers. Any customer service enquiries need to be directed to them via their site or direct phone number.
Can I nominate more than one charity for my donations dollars?
Each account can nominate one cause at a time. You can change your cause in your account settings at any time. Alternatively, you can have other family members join GOthat with their email addresses and support different causes.
What if my favourite cause is not listed on GOthat?
If you would like to support a cause that’s not yet listed on GOthat, chances are that many other people would also like to support them. Go to our “Suggest a Cause” form which is at the bottom of each page.
How does my chosen cause achieve a donation from my purchase?
GOthat achieve a commission for introducing shoppers to their store from which we donate 50% to a the shoppers chosen charity. The % donation varies between stores and is displayed with the storefront on GOthat.
Is the donation tax deductible?
GOthat makes the donation to your cause from the commission they earn on your purchases. As such it is GOthat who donates on your behalf to the charity.
Am I paying anything more to shop through GOthat?
No. There is no cost to join GOthat and when you Enter a store your are shopping as you would otherwise on their site…same great deals at the exact same prices.
The bonus is that with every purchase you make through GOthat, your cause will benefit by receiving a generous donation from GOthat!
How do I unsubscribe?
You can unsubscribe from GOthat at anytime by clicking the ‘unsubscribe’ link on the bottom of your daily email. YOU NEED TO LOGIN TO UNSUBSCRIBE. In addition from our home page you can always go to your “My Account” then click “My Settings” then “Daily Email – change” and check “Unsubscribe” and enter your email address to confirm action.
